Learn nuno felting techniques while creating a beautifully textured and patterned fabric. We will be using prefelts, hand dyed silks and luxurious wools and velvets to create patterns, first needle felt then learn to wet felt them all together for a piece of fabric art that you might use as a journal cover, a small pouch or purse, a headband, a bracelet or incorporate into a larger knitted work or frame as it is! Once you know the technique you can make whatever you wish.

You can wear it as an extra warm scarf in the winter. Start with a piece of hand dyed silk chiffon and add luxurious wools and other textures to create a one of a kind garment that you will reach for time and time again. Have a finished shawl in just a few hours! Also makes a great gift for someone special. Your finished piece will be about 75 X 18”.

ADVANCED NUNO FELTING on Habotai
Ages 12+

Learn to nuno felt using this beautiful fabric! We will be using ultra soft 18 micron (fine micron) hand painted wools and a 11 X 90” hand dyed habotai scarf. Nuno felting on habotai creates amazing textures. The fabric is denser and creates lots of texture. We will also learn to use a finishing sander to felt the piece if you wish.
